ARE YOU FRANCOPHONE ?
"FRANCOPHONE" refers to a person or group of people who speak French as their first or primary language.
The term is derived from "français," the French word for French, and "phonie," which refers to the use of speech or sound.
Francophone can also be used to describe a region or country where French is the official language, or where a significant portion of the population speaks French.
Some examples of Francophone countries include France, Canada, Haiti, and many African countries.
In addition to these countries, there are also many other countries around the world where French is spoken as a second or foreign language, often as a result of historical or cultural ties to France.
International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) is an intergovernmental organization representing countries and regions where French is the first or customary language, or where a significant proportion of the population are francophones (French speakers). It has 84 member states and governments, and is dedicated to promote the French language and cultures around the world.
